Descended in the family of the sitter to Mrs. Hattie Hendrickson Longstreet Tunis; to her niece, Bertha Hendrickson Conover (Mrs. Cecil S.), Middletown, New Jersey. Sold c. 1950 to (Edna Netter, Marlboro, New Jersey),[1] by whom sold in 1951 to Edgar William and Bernice Chrysler Garbisch; gift to NGA, 1953.
