Only one object in the Robert Frank Collection (1994.37.1223), c. 1942, has been classified as a drawing rather than a photograph, owing to the appearance of pen, ink, and gouache and the lack of evidence of a photographic print. It belongs in a group with six other commercial works incorporating pen, ink, and gouache (1994.37.1220, 1221, 1222, 1224, 1225, 1226).
