Calder on Film

Mobile by Alexander Calder (National Gallery of Art, 1980, 24 minutes) follows Calder’s journey with architect I.M. Pei as they face the challenge of creating the technically complex mobile commissioned for the East Building. Calder’s Circus (Carlos Vilardebó, 1961, 19 minutes) shows Calder acting as ringmaster for the miniature circus he created in Paris.
