Film Programs

An ongoing program of classic cinema, documentary, avant-garde, and area premieres occurs each weekend. Programs are free of charge, but seating is on a first-come, first-seated basis. Films are screened in original formats. Doors open approximately 30 minutes before each show. Programs are subject to change. The Gallery is affiliated with the International Federation of Film Archives (FIAF).

The East Building auditorium reopens for weekend film screenings on Saturday August 1st. Until then, all programs take place in the West Building lecture hall. For more information, visit nga.gov/film, e-mail film-department@nga.gov, or call (202) 842-6799.
