This program of historic works related to the Los Angeles – based Dwan Gallery and some of the artists exhibited there in the early 1960s, such as Jean Tinguely, Claes Oldenberg, and Yves Klein, also features a selection of short, midcentury animated 16mm films by American icon Robert Breer — all of which were projected in LA during the opening of a Larry Rivers exhibition in 1963, including A Man and His Dog Out for Air (1957), Eyewash (1959), and Homage to Jean Tinguely’s Homage to New York (1960). (Total running time approximately 90 minutes)
