Niki de Saint Phalle: An Architect’s Dream

One of the first US solo shows by nouveau réaliste artist Niki de Saint Phalle (1930–2002) opened at the Dwan Gallery Los Angeles at the beginning of 1964 and featured many of her “tir” or “shooting” pictures. This recent documentary on the life of Saint Phalle features archival interviews and footage of her practice, public art installations, and legacy.
