School Field Trips

We will offer a selection of in-person and virtual field trips (using Zoom) for winter/spring 2024.

Requests for winter/spring field trips (January 8 – May 31, 2024) will be accepted from December 1, 2023 – April 5, 2024.

In-Person School Field Trips

Free field trips at the National Gallery of Art complement and enhance classroom learning. During interactive field trips, your students will look carefully at original works of art, ask questions, and develop their own interpretations.

Creative writing, sketching, and perspective-taking will help students uncover complexity and cultivate personal connections to art. Students will experience a powerful shared learning community where all voices are valued.

Virtual School Field Trips

Whether from home or the classroom, your students will participate in engaging and interactive live school field trips in a virtual learning space. These free field trips provide the opportunity to explore and compare a diverse array of works of art from our collection.
