Overview: 100 drawings chosen from public and private collections in the United States and Canada represented all phases of Boucher's work. Paintings, prints, porcelains, sculpture, and a tapestry were included to illustrate Boucher's influence on fine and decorative arts.

Organization: The selection was made by David E. Rust, National Gallery curator, and Harold Joachim, curator of drawings at the Art Institute. The exhibition was organized in conjunction with the Art Institute of Chicago. Gaillard Ravenel designed the exhibition for the National Gallery.
