THIS EXHIBITION IS NO LONGER ON VIEW AT THE NATIONAL GALLERY.

Organization: The works were assembled by E.A. Carmean Jr., curator of 20th-century art. Research by Ann Hoenigswald of the conservation department detected 2 other circus compositions beneath the surface of Family of Saltimbanques. Gaillard Ravenel and Mark Leithauser designed the exhibition and Gordon Anson designed the lighting.
