Overview: 85 prints, drawings, books, and technical material celebrated the centennial of the birth of Dutch artist Maurits Cornelis Escher. Works in the exhibition were selected entirely from the Gallery's collection. The exhibition was divided into 4 sections, Self-Portraits, The World Observed, Inner Visions, and Metamorphosis, and included the 23-foot-long woodcut Metamorphosis III. Ruth E. Fine, curator of modern prints and drawings, was the exhibition curator.
