This exhibition is no longer on view at the National Gallery.

Overview: This two-part installation included a total of 56 books from the National Gallery of Art Library recently acquired through the Grega and Leo A. Daly III Fund for Architectural Books. Of the books, 17 were on view in West Building Gallery G21 and the remaining 38 books were shown in rotation in the East Building Library. Included were 18th- and 19th-century architectural design books, surveys, and pattern books as well as the first American carpentry book.

Organization: The exhibition was organized by the National Gallery of Art. Neal Turtell, executive librarian, and Yuri Long, National Gallery of Art library, were curators.
