Gifts of Art
The Circle
The Circle brings together individuals from across the nation who share an appreciation for the arts and a personal commitment to enhancing the Gallery. Annual gifts from Circle members help the Gallery to preserve, collect, exhibit, and foster the understanding of great works of art at the highest standards.
Since its inception in 1986, The Circle has funded projects that have benefited every area of the Gallery. Circle members provide critical unrestricted support for conservation, special exhibitions, scholarly and scientific research, publications, films, and symposia, as well as art acquisition and a variety of educational and outreach programs. Members of The Exhibition Circle participate in the Circle program at the highest level and contribute vital funding for special exhibitions at the National Gallery of Art. The Tower Project provides support for contemporary exhibitions in the Tower Gallery, a unique, stand-alone space that crowns the East Building.
Membership in any category entitles two to participate.
