Tours for People with Low Vision and Who Are Blind

Docent-led tours with an emphasis on verbal description of the Gallery's permanent collection are offered on the fourth Wednesday and fourth Saturday of every month.

Verbal Description Tour: East Building

This tour offers vivid descriptions of specific works on view in the East Building. Though designed for people with vision loss, this tour is a useful tool for guided looking for all visitors.

Audio-Described Films

Large Print

The Gallery offers free large-print brochures at the entrance to select exhibitions. Large print transcripts of audio tours are also available at the Acoustiguide desk in the West Building Rotunda.

Braille Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs)

Braille ATMs are available near the Gallery Shop on the Concourse and near the Gallery Shop on the Ground Floor of the West Building. The ATM in the West Building fully complies with regulations defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act, offering not only Braille but also audio enhancements with voice guidance.

Public Wi-Fi

The Gallery offers free Wi-Fi, accessible by selecting the “NGA_Public_WiFi” network. Review the Gallery's Wi-Fi policy here.
