Listen to the Stories Behind the Masterpieces
The app focuses on paintings and sculpture from the 13th to the 19th centuries on view in the West Building.
Explore more than 130 extraordinary works by artists including Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt van Rijn, Johannes Vermeer, and others. Deepen your understanding about the history and conservation of these treasured works through audio commentary by Director Earl A. Powell III and Gallery curators.
Young art lovers (ages 7-12) can tune in to learn about more than 50 of the world's greatest paintings. Kids can choose to hear about works by such masters as Peter Paul Rubens, Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, and Winslow Homer.
With Your Art, you can:
- Listen to audio commentary or read text about highlights of the Collection or the Kid's Tour
- Find works of art by artist name, nationality, theme of the work, or location on the map
- Zoom in to high-resolution images
- Prepare for your visit with maps, hours, and other important visitor information
- Stay current with event and exhibition updates
Audio commentary about more than two dozen highlighted works of art is also available in French, Japanese, Mandarin, Russian, and Spanish.

If you would like to download the app while at the Gallery, free Wi-Fi is provided in the West Building, Main Floor Information Room, Rotunda, and Founders Room. Please bring headphones; earbuds are also available for purchase in the Gallery Shops.

The app is also available on a limited number of devices for free loan. Find them at the audio tour desk located just inside the West Building, Main Floor entrance.

About the Gallery
The National Gallery of Art was conceived, founded, and given to the people of the United States by Andrew Mellon.
The NGA provides wireless internet service to any visitor who is at least 18 years old, or at least 13 years old with permission from his or her parent or guardian. The visitor must supply his or her own device to connect to NGA Public Wi-Fi.
