Expand Art and Ecology by exploring climates not addressed in this lesson—for example, polar, desert, and monsoon. Student groups can create posters representing different climates. The posters, which can include collaged pictures, should identify which regions of the world have the climate and address ways that climate affects clothing, daily activities, and building materials. A daily activity unique to the climate zone may be acted out by the group. During presentations, students can dress in clothing and use props appropriate for the climate.
