Interested in art? The High School Summer Institute is for you!
Explore the National Gallery of Art from the inside out
- Connect with a variety of museum professionals
- Create your own work of art for a local exhibition
- Learn and work with other teens from DC schools
- Earn 20 hours of community service or service learning credits
- Receive $250 stipend
Weekdays, June 16–June 27, 2008
9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
To Be Eligible, You Must Be
- Interested in studio art or art history
- Entering grade 10, 11, 12 or be a 2007 graduate of a high school located in the District of Columbia
- Able to attend all sessions of the program
Print out and complete the three-part application form.
Applications must be postmarked by March 28, 2008.
Interviews will take place on April 5 and April 6 at the National Gallery for select candidates.
