Interested in art? The High School Summer Institute is for you!
Explore the National Gallery of Art from the inside out
- Connect with a variety of museum professionals
- Create your own work of art for a local exhibition
- Learn and work with other teens from D.C. schools
- Earn 20 hours of community service or service learning credits
- Receive $250 stipend
Weekdays, June 14–June 25, 2010
9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
To Be Eligible, You Must Be
- Interested in studio art or art history
- Entering grade 10, 11, 12, or be a 2010 graduate of a high school located in the District of Columbia
- Able to attend all sessions of the program
Print out and complete the three-part application form.
Applications must be postmarked by April 16, 2010.
Interviews will take place on May 1 and May 2 at the National Gallery for select candidates.
