Sponsoring-Teacher Responsibilities
- Identify potential students (preferably juniors) currently enrolled in your upper-level art studio or art history class
- Attend orientation with your student at the National Gallery of Art on Saturday, October 13, 2007
- Assist your student with seminar assignments and preparations for the final program
- Secure nomination and sponsorship from an art teacher whose class you will be taking in fall 2007
- Submit an application
- Able to attend the first orientation session with a parent or guardian and with a sponsoring teacher on Saturday, October 13, 2007
- Able to attend all ten Saturday sessions of the seminar
Application Instructions and Forms
The application deadline is September 24, 2007. Selection is competitive.
Prospective sponsoring teachers: print out both forms, fill out the teacher form, identify and have a potential student fill out the student form, and mail or fax both forms together.
