Raphael, The Three Graces, c. 1517-1518 This study is for the Wedding Feast of Cupid and Psyche, frescoed by Raphael's assistants in the loggia of Agostino Chigi's Villa Farnesina in Rome. The drawing, which shows a single model in three consecutive poses, corresponds to the group of women who sprinkle an offering over the married couple in the finished fresco. |
