The story of Lucy continues here in the rightmost panel of three that make up the predella of an altarpiece dedicated to her life . The Roman consul Paschasius has ordered that Lucy be dragged to her death by oxen for refusing to forsake Christianity. The intervention of The Holy Spirit on her behalf makes Lucy so heavy that eight teams of oxen could not move her.
