Friendships
Early in
his career,
Calders involvement with the Abstraction-Création group in
Paris brought him in contact with a number of artists, including Joan
Miró, Piet Mondrian, Jean Arp, and Fernand
Léger. Some were
acquaintances, while others were close friends.
