In
Milton's
poem, the narrator continues by entreating the goddess Mirth to welcome
him into her world of merrymaking.
Haste thee nymph, and
bring with thee,
Jest and youthful Jollity...
Once there, he will live a life of pleasurefilled with
dancing, laughing, and singingalongside
the wondrous Mountain Nymph.
