This monotype was published in the New York Times on June 17, 1980,
accompanying an article by Jon Pareles and Peter Watrous that suggested ideas
for a "dream" jazz
festival in New York. It is an example of the monotype process used for a
rather linear and open drawing in contrast to a more painterly work such as
Rain Forest--Pool.
