The National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden Ice Rink
is open mid-November through mid-March, weather permitting. View
magnificent works of sculpture while skating in the open air
and enjoying music from the state-of-the-art sound system.
Admission
(two-hour sessions, beginning on the hour)
$7.00 adults
$6.00 seniors (age 50 and over)
$6.00 students (with valid ID)
$6.00 children (age 12 and under)
$195.00 season pass
Skate and Locker Rentals
Skate rental: $3.00 (ID required)
Locker rental: $0.50 ($5.00 deposit required)
Ice Rink Hours
The ice-skating rink is closed for the season.
Group and Private Lessons
Guest Services, Inc., offers both group and private skating lessons at the ice rink in the Sculpture Garden. Certified by the United States Figure Skating Association, instructor Alice Shelley teaches skaters of all ages and experience levels. Location and Access
The National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden Ice Rink is located on the National Mall at 7th Street and Constitution Avenue NW. During the evening, when the Gallery and Sculpture Garden are closed to the public, access to the ice rink and Pavilion Café is restricted to the entrances at Constitution Avenue and Madison Drive near 9th Street.
Pavilion Café
With a panoramic view of the Sculpture Garden, the Pavilion Café serves freshly made wraps, sandwiches, gourmet pizzas, and salads.
Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, wine, and beer are also available.
Please note: During the evening ice-skating hours, when the National Gallery of Art is closed to the public, the surrounding Sculpture Garden is also closed. Access to the ice-skating rink and Pavilion Café during these times is restricted to the Constitution Avenue and Madison Drive entrances at 9th Street.
