Have you ever had a dream, and just when you woke up there was a picture of it in your mind? That's the kind of dream image Miró used for inspiration when he created sculpture, which he usually made with things he found. I guess you could call it "Dream and Dumpster Art."

When you first look at this sculpture, does it surprise you? Does it remind you of something even though you have no idea what it is? Well, I found out that Miró made the "head" of this piece by casting a cardboard box in bronze, and the "body" of it by casting a donkey yoke (the thing you rig a donkey cart onto). No wonder it looks like it's from here AND beyond.
