The Sick Girl by Edvard Munch

January 23-March 26, 1975

Overview: The painting by Munch was on loan from the Munch Museum in Oslo; also shown were prints of the same subject from other lenders. A special display panel was installed for the painting. Brilliantly lit, it dominated the view from the Constitution Avenue entrance lobby. A lithograph and a drypoint from Oslo, with prints of the same subject from other sources, were displayed in the auditorium corridor.
