Prints and Related Drawings by the Carracci Family

March 18-May 20, 1979

Overview: 162 prints, drawings, copper and silver plates, and books from more than 29 lenders were organized by Diane De Grazia Bohlin, curator of Italian drawings. The exhibition coincided with the publication of the 536-page catalogue raisonné of the engravings and etchings of the Carracci, published by the Gallery. The show was designed by Gordon Anson. 35 prints by artists who both influenced the Carracci and were influenced by them were shown in an adjacent gallery.
