English Drawings and Watercolors, 1630-1850
Overview: 60 British drawings and watercolors were selected from the holdings of the National Gallery of Art, including works by British-born artists and works made in England by foreigners. The exhibition focused on the growth of distinctively British landscape watercolors in the decades after 1770. Andrew Robison, senior curator at the National Gallery, organized the exhibition.
