Overview: This special installation featured 8 works by the 20th-century American portraitist Alice Neel. 2 paintings were selected from the Gallery's collection and 6 were loans from other Washington public collections.

The exhibition was coordinated by Marla Prather, associate curator of 20th-century art at the National Gallery.
