Homage to Jacques Callot

Overview: An exhibition of 82 etchings and engravings from the Gallery's collections honored the 400th anniversary of Callot's birth. Depictions of theatrical performances, court festivals, and warfare conveyed the social and political climate of the early baroque period. H. Diane Russell, curator of old master prints at the National Gallery of Art, selected the works.
