Overview: This exhibition presented 46 paintings by the little-known Italian artist Lorenzo Lotto, including portraits, allegories, and religious paintings. 3 carpets were included in the installation to illustrate Lotto's use of carpets.

The exhibition was organized by the National Gallery of Art, in association with the Accademia Carrara di Belle Arti, Bergamo. David Alan Brown, curator of Italian Renaissance paintings, was the exhibition curator.
