Picturing French Life
Learn about everyday life in 18th-century France in the exhibition The Age of Watteau, Chardin, and Fragonard: Masterpieces of French Genre Painting. Experiment in drawing techniques using oil pastels, led by artist and educator Clare Grizzard.

Audio Tours

Narrated by director Earl A. Powell III, this tour of The Age of Watteau, Chardin, and Fragonard: Masterpieces of French Genre Painting includes commentary by Philip C. Conisbee, senior curator of European paintings and curator of French painting, National Gallery of Art; Colin Bailey, chief curator, The Frick Collection; and Susan Siegfried, professor, University of Michigan. Acoustiguide hand-held audio players can be rented at the exhibition entrance for $5.

Exhibition Brochure

A full-color exhibition brochure will be available free of charge at the entrance to the exhibition. (Confirm: A large-print version will be available also from the audio tour desk at the entrance to the exhibition and from the art information desk.)
