The Webby's are hailed as the "Oscars of the Internet" by the New York Times, The Webby Awards are the leading international awards honoring excellence on the Internet, including Web sites, interactive advertising, online film and video, and mobile Web sites. The awards are judged by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, an organization that includes musician David Bowie, Virgin Group founder Richard Branson,  AKQA creative director Rei Inamoto, "Simpsons" creator Matt Groening, Huffington Post founder Arianna Huffington, RealNetworks CEO Rob Glaser, and film producer Harvey Weinstein of The Weinstein Company.
