(Xavier Fourcade, Inc., New York).[1] Michael Rea, New York, by 1981;[2] gift 4 April 1984 to the Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington; acquired 2014 by the National Gallery of Art.

[1] The painting's stretcher bar is stamped: "Andre Emmerich Gallery Inc." with their logo.

[2] The painting was lent by Rea to the 1981 Biennial Exhibition at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York.
