Remarks

An artist, anarchist, and Wobbly (as members of the radical Industrial Workers of the World labor union are known), Emil Zoler met Stieglitz through Marsden Hartley. Although Stieglitz never showed his work, Zoler often visited and lent a willing hand at 291, the Intimate Gallery, and An American Place.
