Join Grammy-nominated Haitian-American performing artist and composer Nathalie Joachim for a concert celebrating the exhibition Spirit & Strength: Modern Art from Haiti, on view through March 9, 2025.
Lauded by The New York Times for her “powerful and unpretentious voice,” Joachim advocates for social change and cultural awareness through her gifts of storytelling and human connection. Her landmark recording project Fanm d’Ayiti explores her Haitian heritage and received a Grammy nomination for best world music album. In 2024, she followed this success with her album Ki moun ou ye.
Joachim is assistant professor of composition at Princeton University and regularly writes commissioned works for orchestra, interdisciplinary theater, dance, and instrumental and vocal ensembles. This season, her new works will be performed at Carnegie Hall, Spoleto Festival USA, and by the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, among other institutions.
Joachim will perform selections from her recent album Ki moun ou ye.
