About Jstop Latin Soul

Mark the final concert of our series to the groove of Jstop Latin Soul!  Enjoy their personal blend of Afro-Cuban rhythms with the best harmonies and improvisation of American jazz and soul.  Formed in 2018 by trombonist Joel Stopka and bassist Brian Mesko, this collective showcases musicians who have performed with a "who's who" of jazz, blues, Latin, and R&B legends. Vladimir Espinosa and David Sandoval, both dynamic Latin percussionists, lead the driving rhythm section alongside drummer DeWayne Peters and pianist 'Montuno Tom' Floyd.  Multi-instrumentalist Willis Greenstreet delivers gritty guitar and sax solos, and trombonist Joel Stopka creates the band’s signature charts. Rounding out this stellar line-up is recording artist/engineer and saxophonist Bobby Read, from Bruce Hornsby and The Noisemakers fame.
