Pershing’s Own is the premier musical organization of the US Army. Today’s performers come from the Army Brass Quintet and the Ceremonial Band, who perform primarily at funerals at Arlington National Cemetery, wreath layings at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, arrivals and departures for foreign dignitaries and heads of state, and political inaugurations. The brass ensembles showcase the talents of these players in a chamber music setting. They will perform a challenging repertoire written for mixed brass by composers both historical and contemporary.
