The 76th Season of Concerts 2017–2018
Curtis on Tour

October 1 at 3:30
West Building, West Garden Court

In advance of a trip to Latin America, Curtis on Tour returns to the National Gallery of Art to perform string sextet works by Mozart, Brahms, and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Kevin Puts. Acclaimed violist and president of the Curtis Institute of Music Roberto Díaz performs alongside students from the school, “one of the world’s finest music academies” (BBC Culture), which produces top prizewinners of international competitions, soloists with major ensembles, and today's most promising artists. Embracing a “learn by doing” philosophy, Curtis educates and trains exceptionally gifted young musicians to engage with audiences through music-making of the highest caliber. Curtis on Tour is the Nina von Maltzahn Global Touring Initiative of the Curtis Institute of Music.
