A haunting meditation on identity, doubling, and human emotion features actress Irène Jacob as Weronika, a young soprano in Poland, and Véronique, her double in France, a teacher of music. Though sharing enigmatic bonds, the two women are unknown to each other. (Krzysztof Kieślowski, 1991, French and Polish with English subtitles, DCP, 97 minutes)
