The Anìmator Festival, held annually in Poznań, Poland, is an international platform for new and historic animation. Curator Anna Głowińska introduces the work of several emerging artists from the festival program Animation Beyond Cinema that focuses on media artists who traverse the cinema and the gallery to broaden and explore the potentialities of these exhibition spaces. Works by Polish artists Piotr Bosacki, Agnieszka Polska, Mateusz Sadowski, Magdalena Łazarczyk, and Wojtek Bąkowski are included, as are animations by British artists Alice Dunseath and Stuart Middleton, and animators Peter Burr and Jodie Mack from the United States.
