One of the first painters to show the grandeur of the American West, Thomas Moran captured the imagination of the American public and helped bring about America’s first national park, Yellowstone. The gallery talk details Moran’s first trip to the western United States and the landscapes that inspired his career, while also considering other perspectives on Americans Indians, subjects in his work.
