  • Wednesday, April 22, 2020

  • West Building Lecture Hall
  • In-person

Among Ernest Hemingway’s most beloved possessions was The Farm, a painting by Spanish artist Joan Miró that is now in the Gallery’s collection. For both the painter and the writer, The Farm crystallized everything that was true and noble about Spain and the Spanish people—or, more specifically, Catalonia and the Catalan people. This talk will discuss Miró and Hemingway’s friendship and the role The Farm played in both of their lives and art.
