Notice for visitors:

Engines of State will close on June 11 due to an unexpected, extended outage of our main freight elevator in the East Building. This outage affects our ability to make the installation accessible to all visitors. We will announce a reopening date when elevator service has been restored.

Join us for a gallery conversation on Robert Longo’s Engines of State. This installation features three monumental drawings depicting the buildings that house each branch of the United States government. Educator Jennifer Riddell and Shelley Langdale, curator and head of modern prints and drawings, will explore Longo’s process and artistic influences.
