Dina Anchin started painting Dutch still lifes while she was training to be a conservator at a Dutch art museum in the Netherlands. Inspired by the techniques of the Dutch old masters, she embarked on a new phase of her artistic career. Today she works in a variety of media including oil paint, graphite, and watercolor, painting still lifes, landscapes, and portraits. After conserving paintings for the National Gallery of Art during her workdays, she spends her weekends at her easel, applying old master painting techniques to create something new of her own.
