Biography

Mrs. Peck once owned portraits of Isaac Foster, Jr. [1740-1781] and William Foster [1732-1759], now in the NGA (1957.11.3-4). Portraits of their parents, Captain Isaac Foster [1704-1781] and his wife Eleanor Wyler Foster [1714-1798], are also now in the NGA (1957.11.1), having been owned by Mrs. David Buffum, reportedly a descendant of the Fosters.
