Cornewall, 5th Bt., George Henry, The Rev. Sir

British, 1833 - 1908

Biography

Sir George received an M.A. from Cambridge and became the Rector for Moccas, Herefordshire. He also served as Justice of the Peace and Deputy Lieutenant of that county. In 1867, he married Louisa Frances Bayley [d. 1900], daughter of the Judge of Westminster County Court. He succeeded his brother, Sir Velters Cornewall, as 5th Bt. in 1868. The Reverend and his wife had three sons and two daughters (one of each died young); son (Sir) Geoffrey succeeded his father as 6th Bt.
