Lull, Emma G. Terry, Mrs.

American, 1836 - 1919

Biography

Mrs. Lull was the grandniece of Carlile Pollock, and his sister, Betsey Hartigan (née Ann Elizabeth Pollock). The latter was the sitter for a painting--thought to be by Gilbert Stuart, but now attributed to Carl von Breda, of Sir Joshua Reynolds' studio--which Mrs. Lull inherited and owned for a time (now in the NGA). Emma's uncle, the grandson of Carlile Pollock, was Commamder Edward Terry, U.S.N. [d. 1882].
