Biography
Elizabeth Pougin de la Maisonneuve née Marcotte was one of four children of Joseph Marcotte d'Argenteuil and his wife Paule, née Aguillon, and granddaughter of Charles Marcotte d'Argenteuil, patron of Ingres. Elizabeth married Marcel Pougin de la Maisonneuve and had a daughter, Marie-Louise, who became custodian of a large part of the Marcotte family art collection, which Elizabeth had inherited. Elizabeth died in 1939.
