Marks and Labels
Reverse bears former inventory numbers 175(?) in white paint and an illegible number in light gray paint (unidentified collections); as well as 327 in red paint (Dreyfus), and 294 in yellow paint (Ricci 1931).

Probably G.B. Lucini Passalacqua [d. 1890], Milan; probably (his sale, at La Scala by Giulio Sambon, Milan, 14–21 April 1885, 5th day, no. 231). possibly purchased at Passalaqua sale by Gustave Dreyfus [1837–1914], Paris; his heirs; purchased 1930 with entire Dreyfus collection by (Duveen Brothers, Inc., London, New York, and Paris); sold 1944 to the Samuel H. Kress Foundation, New York.
