Overview: 125 drawings and watercolors by French draftsmen from the end of the 16th through the mid-19th century were selected by Pierre Rosenberg of the Musée du Louvre and François Bergot, curator of the Rouen Museums.

Organization: This traveling exhibition was organized by the International Exhibitions Foundation.

Sponsor: The project was supported by an indemnity from the Federal Council on the Arts and the Humanities and by a grant from l'Association Française d'Action Artistique. The catalogue was underwritten in part by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
